Obituary of Mary Elizabeth Frazee
GLENGARRY \ RIVERTON - Mary Elizabeth (Campbell) (Murray) Frazee, 82, Valley View Villa, Riverton formerly of Glengarry, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family.
Born in Westville, she was a daughter of the late Edwin and Elizabeth Elliot (Miller) Searle. She was a member of St. Columba United Church, Hopewell. She had taught mission band and Sunday school in Glengarry. Mary was a very compassionate and generous person, a loving mother and grandmother, whose life touched many hearts.
Surviving are daughters, Janie (Robert) Chesnutt, Berwick; Betty (Eric) Sharpe, Glengarry; sons, Robert Campbell, Gary (Doreen) Campbell, Glengarry; step-daughters, Catherine (Cyril) Cameron, Trenton; Alice Guthro, Waynefleet, Ont.; Carol (Edward) Fortune, Green’s Point; Debbie (Philip) Burns, Trenton; Jean Fulton, Green's Point; step-sons, Wayne (Ruth) Frazee, Green’s Point; Cyril (Jane) Frazee, Trenton; sister, Catherine Fraser, Westville; sister–in–law, Eva Hayden, Little Egypt Rd.; 11 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Herbert Campbell; second husband, Graham Murray; third husband, John Frazee; son, Herbert Campbell in infancy; son-in–law, Jacques Ladouceur; granddaughters, Ashley Campbell and Roberta Chesnutt.
The family will receive visitors from 3-5 p.m. & 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 11th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 12th in St. Columba United Church, Hopewell with Rev. Heather Landry officiating. Interment will follow in Lorne Cemetery.
