Obituary of Charlotte Genevieve Marshall

CHANCE HARBOUR ROAD – Charlotte Genevieve Marshall, 58, Chance Harbour Road, passed away Friday, January 28, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by family. Born in Glace Bay, she was a daughter of William Robert and Genevieve (McLean) Windsor, Chance Harbour Road. She was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. She was the owner/operator of the former Char’s Place, Trenton and had been employed as a seamstress with York Sewing and Inspirations. In earlier years she had been employed with Tim Hortons, Zellers and the former, Homers. Charlotte enjoyed playing bingo, baking, cooking and listening to music. She was passionate about animals, especially her cats. Surviving besides her parents are her companion, Phillip MacDonald; son, Brian (Kelly) Marshall, Chance Harbour Road; sisters, Theresa (Sidney) Jordan, Abercrombie; Eileen MacDonald (Richard), New Glasgow; Ann Marie (Damian) Hall, Pictou; Stephanie (Wendell) Arbuckle, Stellarton; Elaine Windsor (Blair), New Glasgow; Rose (Andre) MacDonald, Chance Harbour Road; brothers, George “Pat” (Brenda), Chance Harbour Road; William “Ray” (Mary Scott), Riverton; Robert (Beth), Egerton; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her infant son, Stephen Paul; infant brother, James Bernard; former husband, Laurie Marshall. Funeral liturgy will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 1st in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church with Father Gary MacPherson presiding.
