STELLARTON – Laura April Dawn Marie Gosbee, 25, Stellarton, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Alonzo Joseph “Lonnie” Gosbee and Trena Elizabeth Marryatt. Laura graduated from NSCC, Pictou Campus in 2015 and the PiCCoLa Bridge to Success program in 2018, where she enjoyed learning and making friends. Laura enjoyed attending Saturday night Karaoke at the New Glasgow Legion with Kat and Friday night Karaoke at the Stellarton Legion with her nan, Amy. She attended Christian Life Church, Stellarton and appreciated the kindness shown to her. One of her greatest joys was spending time with her little brother, AJ. Laura demonstrated her creative ability through drawing. She enjoyed playing games with her siblings, such as, Aggravation and on her Xbox One, and hanging out with Kat. Laura will be dearly missed by all she loved. For her, “life has changed; not ended!” Besides her parents, she is survived by sisters, Odessa, Carolyn and Emily; brother, Alonzo Jr. “AJ”; paternal grandmother, Amy Gosbee (Hughie McInnis); maternal grandmother, Stella MacDonnell; aunts, Iona (Shane) and Sharon; uncles, Jim (Marilyn), Kevin (Mary), Russell (Joe), Michael (Jane), Grant (Valerie), Edison (Natalie) and John Jr.; best friend, Catherine “Kat”; many cousins. She was predeceased by paternal grandfather, John Gosbee; maternal grandfather, Herbert Marryatt; maternal step-grandfather, “papa” Louie MacDonnell; paternal aunt, Odessa in infancy; paternal uncles, John Arthur and John Gordon, in infancy. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Thursday, March 21st in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, March 22nd in the Christian Life Church (United Pentecostal Church), Stellarton. Interment will be in Kenzieville Cemetery.
