Obituary of Wayne Gary Patton
SPRUCE GROVE, ALTA. – Wayne Gary Patton, 68, Spruce Grove, Alta., formally of Linacy passed away Friday, October 30, 2015 at home.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Douglas Guynmour and Nellie Ellen (Clark) Patton. Wayne was a salesperson with Bob MacDonald Chev-Olds, Halifax during the late sixties, early seventies. In the mid-seventies, he moved to Edmonton, Alta. and was employed in GM sales until retirement. Wayne was awarded the prestigious General Motors Grand Sales Master award several times. He enjoyed traveling and spending time with his cocker spaniels. Wayne enjoyed life to the fullest, not leaving any stone unturned.
Surviving are his wife, Lynda; son, Dana Nazarek, Spruce Grove and his sons, Dana Jr., Deacon and Dexter; sister, Joy Patton (Ron Quinn), Churchville; brother, Alan “Allie” Patton, Linacy; nieces, Cindy and Beth-Ann; nephews, Edward and Vernon; sister-in-law, Yvonne Watson, Ontario; brother-in-law, Ed Urquhart, Churchville; family friend, Patricia Wells, Spruce Grove; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Angeline in infancy; brothers, Douglas R. and Vernon F.
Funeral service will be held at a later date with interment in Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow. Donations may be made in Wayne’s memory to the Pictou County SPCA.
