Obituary of Dawn Marie Ryan
MONCTON, N.B. – Dawn Marie Ryan, 35, Moncton, formerly of Merigomish, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, April 21, 2009.
Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late William and Barbara L. (Weatherbie) Ryan. She was the Assistant Manager at Comfort Inn Magnetic Hill, Moncton. She greatly enjoyed traveling and recently visited Cuba in March. She was a very strong supporter of our military troops and enjoyed studying history.
Surviving are her half-brother, Steven (Nicole) Smith, Riverton; maternal grandparents, Bill and Barb (MacFarlane) Weatherbie, Trenton; great-aunt, Blanche MacFarlane, Merigomish; aunt, Catherine (John) MacLeod, Pictou; uncles, Doug (Debbie) Weatherbie, Pictou; Robbie Weatherbie, Merigomish; Will Weatherbie, Trenton; Melvin Ryan, Hamilton, Ont.; Leamon (Beatrice) Ryan, Trenton; special cousins, Abby Weatherbie, Matthew MacLeod and David MacLeod (Richard Laverie); numerous cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Billy and mother, Barbie; paternal grandparents, Charles and Edna (Hayden) Ryan; aunt, May; uncle, James.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, April 24th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 25th with Rev. Pat Rose officiating. Interment will be in Seaview Cemetery, Pictou.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Pictou County SPCA.
