Obituary of Lynette Handspiker
SYLVESTER – Lynette (Mason) Handspiker, 41, Sylvester, formerly of Trenton, passed away Monday, May 12, 2008 in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, VG Site, Halifax, surrounded by her family.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Arthur Warren “Art” Mason, Linacy. Lynette had been employed as a PCW and cook for many years. She was a member of the Aberdeen Angus Association, the West River Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Pictou Exhibition Beef Committee. She enjoyed her hobby farm; her animals were a very important part of her life. Lynette was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt and friend.
Surviving besides her father, Art (Sue), are her husband, Tony Handspiker; sister, Terri (Chuck) Stewart, Trenton; brother, Paul (Marjorie) Mason, New Glasgow; nieces, Brae, Caley and Katelyn; nephews, Chuckie, Jamie and Brandon.
She was predeceased by her son, Ryan; maternal grandparents, Francis and Nettie Dobson; paternal grandparents, Henry and Nellie Mason.
Cremation has taken place. At Lynette’s request a private service will be held. Donations may be made in her memory to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Canadian Diabetes Association or any charity of choice.
