BAILEY’S BROOK – Archibald James “Archie” Chisholm, 81, Bailey’s Brook, passed away Saturday, July 9, 2016 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Georgeville, he was a son of the late Ambrose and Mabel (MacInnis) Chisholm. Prior to retirement, Archie was employed as a heavy duty mechanic and heavy machinery operator. In earlier years, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Archie will be missed by those he loved. Surviving are daughters, Stephanie (Dan) Jukich, Burnaby, B.C.; Carmel Chisholm (Jim), Bailey’s Brook; Carol Lea (Bruce) Farrell, Brookville; Krista Chisholm (Hubert), Sussex, N.B.; sons, Ford (Patsy), Cornwall, Ont.; Glenn (Linda), Merigomish; Colin, Toronto, Ont.; sister, Elizabeth (Don) Ankerson, Vancouver Island, B.C.;12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Edna; son, Bradley; sisters,Sandra, Coleen and Donna; brothers, Ambrose, Hugh and Mitchell. The family will receive visitors 10-10:50 a.m. Tuesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. with Father Colin MacKinnon presiding. Family flowers only.
