STELLARTON – Dorothy Marion MacKenzie, 90, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Stellarton passed away, Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in MacLellan’s Mountain, she was a daughter of the late George Joseph and Barbara Ann (Hefferman) Allard. Surviving are daughters, June (Weldon) Chaulker, St. Thomas, Ont.; Janet (James) Ellsworth, Stellarton; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ira Marshall MacKenzie; son, Harvey Roy; daughter, Evelyn Dorothy in infancy; brothers, Clarence, Oakley, Hardy, George, Granville, Hallie infancy; sister, Loretta Hodgson. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Westville with Mr. Louis VanDonick officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in MacLellan’s Mountain Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian Diabetes Association.
