Obituary of Leigh Chops Edward Graham

RED DEER, ALTA. – Leigh Edward “Chops” Graham, Red Deer, Alta., formerly of New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at his home. Born in Oakville, Ont., he was a son of the late George Edward and Muriel Grace (Fraser) Graham. Leigh had worked as a boilermaker at several construction sites across Canada, settling in Red Deer for the past 30 years. He enjoyed entertaining! Leigh was always “up” for having friends over, playing cards and music or watching classic black and white TV. Surviving are his wife, Ann (Lucas), Red Deer; sister, Sandra Long, Westville; brothers, Rick Graham, Cutknife, Sask.; Darrell (Denise) Graham, St. Ann, N.B.; nieces, Stephanie (Jason) Stewart, Kaitlyn, Emily, Andrea; nephew, Rick Graham; several cousins. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, August 17th in Greenwood Cemetery, Pictou Landing with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Following, a celebration of Leigh’s life will be held at Wranglers Lounge, 221 Stewart Street, New Glasgow.
