Obituary of Stephen Douglas Forsyth

TRENTON – Stephen Douglas Forsyth, 41, Trenton, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021. Born New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Doug Forsyth and Roma (Fraser) Forsyth. Stephen had been employed with CF Construction for a number of years. He enjoyed working in his greenhouses growing vegetables, landscaping his property, and tending to his flower gardens. Walking on local beaches collecting beach glass with Angela C. gave him great joy. Stephen enjoyed many weekend adventures with his son, Owen, who he dearly loved – his “pride and joy”. He will be remembered as a loyal, hardworking, selfless person, who always gave more than he received. Stephen’s friends wrote, “Steve truly loved to help anyone, and was everyone’s go to person. You needed anything done to your house (ask Steve) need gravel (ask Steve) need gardening tips (ask Steve) need to know what color curtains to get to match your kitchen (ask Steve) want to know the latest gossip (ask Steve) want to know info about the guy you’re talking to on POF (ask Steve) That $#@%&! Knew it all ! Steve also loved a good deal, especially the ones that were to good to be true. We always said he had great taste for someone who shopped at the dump. As much as Steve claimed to “not like people” Steve was a social butterfly who was loved and adored by mostly everyone he came in contact with. Which at times was very annoying! You couldn’t go anywhere with him without having to stop to talk to every second person he passed. We quickly learned to leave him in the car to ensure a quick in and out for the rest of us. Steve also thought he was very funny and laughed at his own jokes regularly. I mean he was ok, definitely not as funny as Cyndi, but he always tried to put a smile on everyone’s face and that’s all that mattered in our books! He was definitely one of a kind and will be forever loved and missed by us all. Steve, here’s to hoping you found the peace you were searching for. Hope Heaven has an endless supply of “girly drinks” waiting for you.” Surviving are his son, Owen, Trenton; fiancé, Angela Cameron and her son, Landon, Hillside; sisters, Sonya (Steven) Leil, Little Harbour Road; Tanya Prosser (Shane MacDonald), Eden Lake; brother, Devan Forsyth (Ashley Kelly), Kemptown; many family and friends. In honour of Stephen’s wishes, his loved ones will celebrate his life privately. “Shine bright!” To plant Memorial Trees in memory of Stephen Douglas Forsyth, please click here to visit our Sympathy Store.
