Obituary of Benjamin Kenneth Langille
NEW GLASGOW – Benjamin Kenneth “Ben” Langille, 71, New Glasgow, formerly of Fraser’s Mountain, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016.
Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of Alta (Reid) Langille, Fraser’s Mountain and the late John Finlayson Langille. Prior to retirement, he operated Ben’s Taxi and in earlier years was a truck driver. He enjoyed playing guitar, harmonica and singing. Ben possessed a quiet, steadfast faith in Jesus, and now enjoys the reward of eternal rest.
Surviving besides his mother, Alta, are daughters, Michelle (Gary) Denny, Pictou Landing; Laurie Langille (Matt Sears), MacLellan’s Brook; son, Chris Langille, New Glasgow; sister, Jackie Johnstone, New Glasgow; brother, Sheldon (Susan) Langille, Fraser’s Mountain; several grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father, John; daughter, Allison Sharpe.
The family will receive visitors 1 – 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 9 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with Ms. Maureen O’Hagan officiating.
Interment will be in Lockerby Memorial Cemetery, Tatamagouche at a later date.
