DARTMOUTH/DURHAM - M. Scott “Moosie” Braniff, 53, Dartmouth, formerly of Durham, passed away peacefully, February 3, 2017 at home. Born in Halifax, he was a son of Sue (McNeil) Braniff, Durham and the late Ralph Braniff. Scott was a welder, and worked at Trenton Works for 11 years. He enjoyed fishing; trying his luck anywhere he might catch a fish. Surviving besides his mother, Sue, are daughter, Nicole Braniff (Trevor Jacquard), Halifax; granddaughter, Reyna Margaret; sisters, Monique (James) Gouthro, Durham; Michelle Johnson, Scotsburn; brothers, Shane, Durham; Chris (Velma), Loch Broom. He was predeceased by his father Ralph. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday February 8, 2017 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Abercrombie Cemetery at a later date.
