Obituary of Florence Aldora Anne Cummerson
RIVERTON/LITTLE HARBOUR - Florence Aldora Anne Cummerson, 88, Valley View Villa, formerly of Little Harbour, passed away peacefully, Sunday, March 22, 2015 in the Villa.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Daniel Hugh and Mary Aldora (Gerrior) Stewart. She was an LPN and had been employed at Inverness Memorial and the Aberdeen Hospital. Florence enjoyed music, square dancing and ceramics, operating Florence’s Ceramics from 1979-1995. She was a member of Trenton Church of The Nazarene, Trenton.
Surviving are her brother, Daniel Hugh (Shirley) Stewart, Greenwood; brother-in-laws, Vernon Ottaway, Saint John, NB; Ernest Holland, Woodstock, ON; numerous nieces, nephews; several grandnieces, grandnephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, William Henry Morris Cummerson; sisters, Mary Harris, Laura Ottaway, Margaret Holland; brothers, Douglas, Alvah and brother-in-law Chesley Harris.
The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Wednesday March 25 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. ThursdayMarch 26 in the Trenton Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Leon Teal Presiding. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
