RIVERTON – Gerald Earl “Willy” Shrum, 83, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Westville and Stellarton passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2020 in the Villa. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Earl Wilbert and Pearl Elizabeth (Bell) Shrum. Gerald was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. He enjoyed playing cards, bingo and spending time with his family. Surviving are daughter, Florence Silver (Fraser MacLean), Stellarton; granddaughter, Kayla Shrum, Stellarton; great-grandsons, Dominic, Xander, Jensen; step-grandchildren, Donald MacLean, New Glasgow; Jamie MacLean, Stellarton; sisters, Joan MacLeod, Brantford, Ont.; Mildred (Paddy) MacLean, Dundass, Ont.; Katheline Fortune, Riverton; nephew, James Busby, Brantford, Ont. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Florence Ann “Tiny”; daughter, Edna; brother-in-law, Ronald. The family will celebrate his life privately.
