Obituary of Walter Robert Kelly

NEW GLASGOW- Walter Robert “Buster” Kelly, 88, passed away in the early hours of Friday, June 2, 2017 with his wife Jean by his side. Born in Trenton in 1929, he was the son of the late Frank and Annie (Rafferty). He was a truck driver for 49 years covering many miles starting each day with a trip to Tim Horton’s, a tradition he kept up after his retirement. Buster enjoyed bowling, golf and ‘puttering’ in the yard. An avid animal lover, he was a strong family man who was proud of and loved his family dearly. Surviving are his wife of 61 years Rebecca Jean Trefry, sister, Betty Kowalski; daughters, Lorraine Urquhart and Bonnie Logan; grandchildren, Tammie, Tim, Amy and Janet; great grandchildren, Robert, William, James and Sophie and many other family and friends. Besides his parents, he is predeceased by brothers, Frank and Jack. The family will receive visitors from 6-8pm on Monday June 5, 2017 in P.K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Immediately after the viewing there will be a short service. A private interment will take place at a later date.
