Obituary of Frank Otterson Roulston

NEW GLASGOW – Frank Otterson Roulston, 86, High-Crest Home, New Glasgow, formerly of Mountain Road, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late G. Lorne and Elizabeth (Otterson) Roulston. He studied at Mount Allison University, obtaining his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. He was a Coatings Technologist, having been employed at the former Tibbetts Paints, New Glasgow from 1960 until his retirement in 1986. He was a 69-year member of First Presbyterian Church, New Glasgow. Frank was an artist, who enjoyed working with various mediums. His greatest joy came from problem solving – finding solutions was a natural gift. Surviving are his sons, Carson (Donna), Stellarton; Marc (Cyndy), Houston, Texas; brother, Max (“Nim”) Roulston, Sheffield Mills; grandchildren Wyatt, Travis, Lauren and Emilie; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 59 years, Christina Isabel (Carson); son, Frank “Tuffy”; brothers, Ellis and Almon. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. Monday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Lorne Street Cemetery, New Glasgow. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in his memory to Muscular Dystrophy Canada.
