Obituary of Brian Chandler MacAulay
NEW GLASGOW – Brian Chandler MacAulay, 63, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 28, 2021, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Clarence Robert “Bud” and Irene Florence Aleta (Murray) MacAulay. Brian was a welder, having been employed at the former Trenton Works for 32 years. He worked in the family business, MacAulay Lobsters and most recently with Circle K, where he greatly enjoyed the social interaction. Brian was an avid Blue Jays fan and never missed watching a game. He was a gentle man who possessed a tender heart and a quiet, passionate faith in his Lord.
Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Joanne Elizabeth (O’Hagan); sons, Rick (Erin) MacAulay and their children, Katrina and Chandler, Beaver Bank; Bradley MacAulay and his son, Max, Mountville; sisters, Maureen O’Hagan, New Glasgow; Marilyn MacAulay, New Glasgow; Pauline MacAulay Murphy, Churchville; Brenda MacAulay, Walkerville; Margie (Bill) Goodall, Cole Harbour; Marjorie (Jack) Fraser, New Glasgow; brother, Adam (Jennifer) MacAulay, Riverton; several aunts and uncles; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by son, Chandler in infancy; brother, Allen in infancy; several aunts and uncles.
A private service will be held in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow.
Donations may be made in Brian’s memory to Priestville Cemetery.
