Winston was a good guy, he left an impression on people wherever he went. I am from fort mcmurray and met winston through a mutual newfie friend named Kevin Burry who has also now passed away. we had many bush fires in Fort Mac and winston was always a laugh, always rolled the best doobies too. Died too young, will be missed, and is thought of frequently. There is a spot in the forest here where we all spent turns trying to chop down a big tree. It took us 3 days to chop this huge tree down. When we finally got the tree to fall it served as a bench for a bush party spot for years to come following his death. The spot still exists today among a few friends, known as "winstons spot". Unfortunately since the fort mxmurray wildfire the spot has been decimated but the location still exists, maybe I will put up a plaque there in his remembrance. Rest in peace.
