Obituary of Wendy Darlene Darroch

NEW GLASGOW/EDMONTON - Wendy Darlene Darroch, 51, Edmonton formerly of New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, April 28, 2015 in University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, Alta. Born in (place), Fredericton, she was a daughter of Eleanor Darroch, Stellarton and the late James “Jimmie” Darroch. Wendy served in the Canadian Military for several years. After her military service, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse working in several hospitals and nursing homes. Wendy enjoyed painting, riding motorcycles and looking after horses and her pets. She was most content, relaxing over a hot cup of tea. Wendy was a loving, daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, who will be missed by all who loved her. Surviving besides her mother, Eleanor, are daughters, Jennifer Rendell (Kyle Ferguson), New Glasgow; Jayme Rendell (Dave Kellock) ,Fort McMurray, Alta.; grandchildren, Calli, Jaxson, Savanna and Ty; Companion, Rick Caldwell, Edmonton; sisters, Brenda (Gary) Satoris, Oshawa, Ont.; Valerie (Gerry) Stretch, Campbell Croft, Ont.; brothers, Kevin (Theresa) Darroch, Marshdale; Allan (April) Darroch, Westville; numerous, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her father, Jimmie, she was predeceased by her grandson, Neil. There will be no visitation by request. A public graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 6th in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow, with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Reception will follow in Plymouth Fire Hall.
