Obituary of Lillian Vera Coady
ABERCROMBIE – Lillian Vera Coady, 99, Ivey’s Terrace Nursing Home, Trenton, formerly of Abercrombie, passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, after a long, well-lived life.
Born in Springhill on January 15, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Eldred and Grace (Clarke) Best and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are her children, Treen (Joe) O’Laney, Plymouth; Henry Coady Jr., Moose River; Jean (Don) Bent, Abercrombie; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, Henry Ferdinand Coady Sr.; an infant daughter, Linda Marie.
A private family service will be held, and she will be laid to rest with her late husband, Henry.
If desired, Lillian’s memory may be honoured by spending special time with a loved one or helping someone in need.
Lillian’s family wish to thank her former Jubilee Park neighbours for their support and encouragement during her time there. They wish to thank all the Ivy’s Terrace Nursing Home staff for their commitment to Lillian and the exceptional care provided to her. The rendered comfort and security were above and beyond expectation and gave great comfort to her family. The love and devotion displayed by the Ivey’s staff will never be forgotten.
