My deepest condolences to Jim's family. He was my physics classmate at UMASS, and we traveled from class to class, day after day for 5 or 6 years. There were so few of us in our physics graduating class - maybe, 10 in all. I remember Jim's uncommon brilliance, and how effortless the coursework was for him. As a graduate student, he was a wonderful teacher, and anyone who had him as an instructor was very lucky. I had the happy coincidence of seeing Jim many years after graduation when he was working in Northampton. Our careers intersected in antennas and optics. We shared a common hobby in amateur radio, and I was happy to see that he continued to enjoy the hobby throughout his life. Kindest regards, Martin Blustine

My late grandmother Blanche Stewart Brown was a cousin to Myrtle, Jim's mother. Have visited years ago in Wakefield and also when they were visiting the local area. Sorry for your loss.
