Obituary of Darren Gerald Gaudet
EGERTON – Darren Gerald “Gadget” Gaudet, 45, Egerton, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 8, 2010 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax, surrounded by his family after a sudden illness.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of Penny (McGee) Gaudet, Merigomish. He began working at the former Hugh E. Park Sawmill in his mid-teens and became their sawyer within a few years. Darren possessed an outstanding work ethic, only ever missing two days of work and was currently employed with Big B Carpentry, Egerton. He was a member of St. Andrew’s Roman Catholic Church, Egerton. Besides working, he enjoyed boating, hunting and spending time with his buddies. Darren always made time for his family. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, son-in-law, nephew and friend.
Surviving besides his mother, are his wife, Tammy (Noade); daughter, Kyla, at home; son, Nickolas, at home; sister, Michele Gaudet (Darrel O’Neil), Lower Sackville; several aunts, uncles and many cousins.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 11th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 12th with Father Colin MacKinnon presiding.
