Obituary of P. Isobel Hambleton
NEW GLASGOW - P. Isobel Hambleton, 80, New Glasgow, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Sunny Brae, she was a daughter of the late Peter Ross and Jessie Catherine (Campbell) Fraser. Prior to retirement due to ill health, she had been employed with Scotiabank, New Glasgow, for over 30 years. Isobel underwent successful kidney transplant surgery 14 years ago and was very supportive of the Kidney Transplant program. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Surviving are her husband of 56 years, Harold Hambleton; son, Gregory (Julie) Hambleton, Halifax; daughter, Cathy (James) Craig, Dartmouth; grandchildren, Lesley (Rob) Harrison, Laura Hambleton, Owen Craig and Emily Craig; sisters, Bessie (Donald) MacIsaac, New Glasgow; Helen (Jack) Roberts, Sunny Brae; Catherine (John) Muise, Stellarton; brother, Simon (Betty) Fraser, Thorburn; sister-in-law, Joyce Fraser, Victoria, B.C.; numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brother, Robert Fraser.
There will be no visitation at Isobel’s request. A private graveside service will be held in Bridgeville cemetery.
