Obituary of Blaine Alexander Murphy

FRENCH RIVER – Blaine Alexander Murphy, 52, French River, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away, Saturday, January 8, 2011 at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of Thomas Smith “Tom” Murphy, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow and the late Raphael Elizabeth “Dick” (MacDonald) Murphy. He had been employed with the former Trenton Works in the Paint Shop. Blaine greatest pleasures in life were fishing and hunting. Surviving besides his father, Tom are sister, Brenda (John) Brown, MacLellan’s Brook; brothers, Bernie (Pat), Westville; Brian (Brenda), Lourdes; Barry, Beryl (Barb), New Glasgow; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother, Dick and brother, Brenton. The family will receive visitors 12 – 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel where funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
