Obituary of Lewis Herbert Pitts

CHANCE HARBOUR – Lewis Herbert Pitts, age 80, Chance Harbour, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at home, surrounded by his family. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 34, New Glasgow, where he and his wife, Louella, played in the mixed dart league. Lewis was a straightforward gentleman, who was a levee of wisdom and possessed a “big” heart. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Louella Jean “Lou” (Misner); daughter, Jean Ann Pitts, Stellarton; sons, Lewis H. Pitts (Mary Pearl Walsh), Hillside; Mark A. (Sandy) Pitts, Chance Harbour; granddaughter, Kelsey Snyder and Magan Grant; sister, Doris Denny, Kingston, Ont.; brother, Donny Davidson, Wooler, Ont.; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, David. In keeping with Lewis’ wishes his family will celebrate his life privately.
