Obituary of Eleanor Cavell Taylor
THORBURN/LAKE GEORGE – Eleanor Cavell Taylor, 68, Lake George, formerly of Thorburn, passed away, Thursday, October 7, 2010 in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Edwin Bernard and Edith (Swallow) Johnstone. Eleanor was self-employed for a number of years as a hairdresser in New Glasgow and Waterville. In later years she was employed as a caregiver with Evergreen Nursing Home, Kentville and private duty. Eleanor was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.
Surviving are her daughter, Nancy Taylor (Chris Levy), Lake George; son, Frank Taylor, Vancouver, B.C.; sister, Norma (Bob) Morris, Toronto, Ont.; grandchildren, Jarret, Dennis and Shannon; great-grandchildren, Kailen and Jordan; several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by sister, Katherine Buttle and nephew Robert Morris.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, 2010 in Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Interment will be in Thorburn Cemetery.
