MERIGOMISH – Peter Alexander MacGillivray, 64, Merigomish, formerly of Coalburn and Linacy, passed away Monday, June 11, 2018. Born in Lismore, he was a son of the late Duncan John and Mary (MacDonald) MacGillivray. Peter had been employed as a truck driver Marinus Verhagen Enterprises Ltd. for many years. He was a member of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, Lismore. Surviving are daughter, Catherine (Daryl) Keenan, Edmonton, Alta.; granddaughters, Harley and Sylver; many cousins. A public graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, June 22 in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lismore. Donations may be made in Peter’s memory, if desired, to his family.
