Obituary of Warren Robert Anderson

LITTLE EGYPT – Warren Robert Anderson, 84, Little Egypt, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with the love of his life by his side. Born in Trenton, he was a son of the late Robert Peter and Lexie Jane (Reid) Anderson. Prior to retirement, he was a crane operator at the former Trenton Steel Works. He was an adherent of Trenton Church of the Nazarene. Warren enjoyed gardening and working in the woods with horses. He was a wonderful storyteller and possessed a unique sense of humour. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Jean (MacKay); children, James Robert (Shirley), Little Harbour; Ann (David) Hart, Halifax; Elizabeth (Paul) Black, Truro; Donna, at home; Charles (Laurie), Little Egypt; grandchildren, Kimberly, Sarah, Amber, Julie, Amiee, Raylene, Mary-Jean, Jarrett and Michael; step-grandsons, Michael and Justin; great-granddaughter, Layla; step-great-grandchildren, Emma and Bobby; brothers, Melburne (Helen), Trenton; Bruce, Little Egypt; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant son, Jack; sisters, May, Lila, Catherine, Cecilia and Lena; brothers, Chester, John, Edwin and Lawrence. The family will receive visitors 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Friday, May 22nd in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23rd in Trenton Church of the Nazarene . Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in his memory to Nazerene Compassionate Ministries. If donating by cheque, please make payable to Church of the Nazarene Canada 20 Regan Road, Unit 9, Brampton, ON L7A 1C3.
