Obituary of Elizabeth Bryce Arsenault
NEW GLASGOW – Elizabeth Bryce “Betty” Arsenault, 54, New Glasgow, passed away on Wednesday, December 9, 2009 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Sydney Mines, she a daughter of the late Walter Louis and Henrietta Connolly (Adair) Arsenault. Prior to retirement due to ill health, Betty was employed with Imperial Cleaners, New Glasgow. She was a kind and gentle person, who was always there for her family and friends. Betty enjoyed life, playing Skip-bo, doing crafts and especially, going for a “Tims”. She loved people and her greatest love was her family.
She will be greatly missed by her beloved son, Christopher, at home; “chosen-sons”, Stephen, Edmonton, Alta; Steve, Grande Prairie, Alta; sisters, Sandra, New Glasgow; Joan, Truro; sister-in-law, Phyllis Arsenault, Sydney; nieces, Susan (Paul) Spracklin and sons, Kristopher and Brandon, Oromocto, N.B.; Anita (David) Cameron and sons, David, Timothy and Joshua, Middle Stewiacke; Lisa MacDonald and son, Marcus, Oshawa, Ont.; nephew, David (Denise) and daughter, Kaleigh and son, Matthew, Debert.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Basil “Bee”.
The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 10th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11th in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Brookside Cemetery, Sydney Mines at a later date.
