Obituary of George Ernest Wallace

MACLELLAN’S MOUNTAIN – George Ernest Wallace, 84, MacLellan’s Mountain, passed away peacefully, Sunday, October 31, 2010, at home. Born in Mountville, he was a son of the late Phillip George and Jane Eliza (MacLeod) Wallace. George was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Westville. In earlier years, he was employed as a welder at the former Trenton Works. He enjoyed photography, collecting and polishing interesting rocks. He loved his family and was grateful for his friends. Surviving are daughters, Trixie Willett (Gordon Rogers), New Glasgow; Vera Wallace, MacLellan’s Mountain; Lorelei Wallace (Keith Parker), Linacy; Nicole Eddington, Ontario; sons, Walter and Timmy Wallace, Ontario; sisters, Janette Pesklevits, British Columbia; Nancy and Chrissie, Halifax; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Kathleen Helen (Christopher); daughter, Sarah MacPhee; brother, John; granddaughter, Kathleen. The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2nd in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3rd in the chapel with Mr. Louis Van Donick officiating. Interment will be in Castle Hill Cemetery, MacLellan’s Brook. Donations may be made in George’s memory to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
