Obituary of Adrienne Margaret Parker
NEW GLASGOW – Adrienne Margaret Parker, 77, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 17, 2020 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow with her children by her side.
Born on May 26, 1943 in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Steven and Edith (Callaghan) MacKenzie. Adrienne possessed an entrepreneurial spirit and was self-employed up until retirement. A member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton, she gained great strength from her faith. Adrienne enjoyed gardening and spending time with her grandchildren who dearly loved their grammy. Her children describe her as “an amazing mother that shared her love and time with her family” and are eternally grateful for all she has done. Adrienne loved being with people, laughing, socializing, listening to music and dancing! She was “full of life” and lived life to the fullest and now enjoys the promise made to her in baptism.
Surviving are daughter, Stephanie Maureen Parker, Bedford and her son, Gabriel; son, Mike Parker (Sandi), Blue Mountain and his daughters, Ashlee and Alicia; sisters, Patti (Allison) Leil, Thorburn; Diane Murray, Stellarton; Pauline Finlayson, Ormstown, Que.; Edie MacKenzie, Vancouver, B.C.; Ana (Lenoid) Pereria, Columbus, Ohio; brother, Alex (Betty Lou) MacKenzie, Toronto, Ont.; aunt, Marie Belland, Antigonish; many nieces and nephews
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Edgar MacLeod; sister, Sylvia and Donna; brothers, Murdoch, Robert and Michael; brother-in-law, Don Finlayson.
A private graveside service will be held in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Stellarton.
