NEW GLASGOW – E. Jean Stewart, 82, Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow, formerly of Greenwood, passed away Friday April 27, 2018 in the Manor surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Glasgow, she was the daughter of the late Ross and Edith (Robson) Russell. She worked at the Aberdeen Hospital as a medical dicta-typist, from where she retired after 37 years of service. Jean enjoyed cross stitching, camping and spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren. Surviving are daughter, Darlene Mason, Stellarton; sons, Kenny (Doreen), Greenwood; Greg (Joanne), Coalburn; Eric (Joyce), Courtice, Ont.; Stephen (Angela), Toronto, Ont.; Jamie (Cheryl), Westville; 15 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Joyce McKarney, New Glasgow; sisters-in-law, Judy Russell; Lois MacDonald; Sadie Stewart; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband Donald Edison Stewart; son, Russell; brother, Jack; brother-in-law, George. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Monday, April 30th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Family flowers only.
