Obituary of Elizabeth Anne Russell

TRENTON – Elizabeth Anne “Liz” Russell, 70, Trenton, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Lewis and Winnifred Pauline (Demone) Cotton. Her faith, family and friends gave her happiness and comfort thru all the ups and downs of life. Her smile and laughter invited all to share in her life. Liz’s life passion was spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and her beloved dog Sasha. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Wade; daughter, Crystal (John) Willett, Trenton; son, Wade (Nancy) Russell, Abercrombie; grandchildren, DJ, Joe, Katelyn, Wade, Ashley, Bailey; great grandchildren, Zander, Hunter, Madelyn, Bryson, Brody, Hunter, Layla; sister; Gail Cameron; brother, Eric J. Cotton. Besides her parents, Liz was predeceased by brothers, Lewis F. Cotton; William L. Cotton; sisters, Rosealie Connors, Sherri Wiegers, Lucille Cotton. The family will receive visitors from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, December 13, 2018 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where Funeral Service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2018 with Pastor Marlene Morrison officiating. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations may be made in memory of Liz to the Aberdeen Health Foundation Palliative Care Unit Endowment.
