Gloria and family: This is shocking news. I knew Mr Wojcik from Shearwater and Ottawa/NDHQ (in the Sea King world). Bob was the most knowledgeable and proficient airworthiness officer I ever worked for. While his aeronautical understanding was immense, his loyalty and support for his subordinates remained immeasurable. He was a most skillful leader and mentor; RIP my friend, SIR.

Bobs passing comes as a shock. Pat and I send our deepest condolences to the Wojcik family. I owe a great deal of my own success in aviation to Bob's willingness to take a chance on this AERE and openly fought for and supported me as a candidate for Exchange Duty at MCAS Cherry Point, NC. Although our posting to NC was being sorted out at the end of Bob's own career as a LCol in Ottawa, he made sure that all the T(s) we're crossed before the announcement of the selection. He will be missed for both his candour and his immense skill as an engineering officer. The CH124 and CH113 communities accomplished many great things on Bob's watch and for that we are forever greatful. Rest In Peace Bob. We now have the watch.
