SUTHERLAND’S RIVER – Stephen Mark Somr, 56, Sutherland’s River’s and Chatham, Ontario, passed away July 13, 2017 peacefully at home. Born in Wallaceburg, Ontario, he was a son of Elizabeth (Eastcott) Somr, Dresden, Ontario and the late Jerry Somr. He was employed as a truck driver for Warren Gibson Trucking, and he enjoyed fishing and camping with friends and family. Surviving besides his mother are his wife and best friend, Peggy MacKay, daughters, Andela, Wallaceburg, Ontario; Randi (Zac), Dresden Ontario; step-daughter, Rainbow MacKay (Kristopher), New Glasgow; sons, Ryker, Dresden Ontario; step-sons, Jeremiah MacKay, Sutherland’s River; Christopher MacKay, New Glasgow; grandchildren, Ivy, Emilee, Elizabeth, Cash, Jacob, Meadow, Mase, Lilly, and Kristopher Jr.; brothers, Jim (Debbie), Chatham, Ontario; Paul (Norma) Dresden, Ontario. Besides his father, Stephen was predeceased by sister, Geraldine. In honour of Stephen’s wishes, the family will celebrate his life privately.
