Obituary of Thomas Bernard Cooke
SALTS SPRINGS – Thomas Bernard “Tom” Cooke, 43, Salt Springs, formerly of Trenton, passed away, Thursday, September 6, 2007 in the VG Site, QEII, Halifax after a brief battle with cancer.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of John Thomas “Jackie” and Jean Elizabeth (Fraser) Cooke, Trenton. Tom was a loving son, husband, father, brother and friend.
Surviving besides his parents, are his wife, Colleen A. Alford; twin daughters, Morgan Taylor and Lindsay Madison, at home; maternal grandmother, Beatrice (Kennedy) Fraser; several aunts and uncles; many cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother, Peter Cooke; maternal grandfather, Melvin Fraser; paternal grandparents, John and Mary (DeGruchy) Cooke.
Visitation will be 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Sunday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m. Monday in Christ the King Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Interment will be in Christ the King Cemetery.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK Health Centre Foundation.
