Obituary of Etta Mae Forrestall
STELLARTON – Etta Mae Forrestall, 87, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of Stellarton, passed away peacefully Monday, April 7, 2014 in the Villa, surrounded by family.
Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late Robert John and Minnie Juanita (Wade) Forrestall. Prior to retirement in the early 90’s, she had been employed with Wearwell Garments and previously with the former Eaton’s order office for many years. Etta enjoyed life to the fullest and greatly enjoyed bowling, skating, dancing, traveling and shopping. Etta was a lady who possessed a deep faith and who believed that in death we are born in to new life. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton where she quietly volunteered her time. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who loved her and whose lives she touched.
Etta is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her long-time friend, John Hughes; sisters, Bessie Larade, Margaret Spanks and a sister in infancy; brothers, Jack, Donald, Percy and twin brothers in infancy.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Thursday in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Interment will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
