Obituary of G. Allan Kay
PICTOU - G. Allan Kay, 54, Pictou, went home to be with his Lord, Tuesday, January 13, 2015.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Albert Edward and Edith Cavell (Taylor) Kay. He was a jack of all trades who possessed a special ingenuity for problem solving. Allan was employed with Travelodge Suites, New Glasgow and was well-known within the company. Allan was a hard worker and a devoted father, who was very proud of his children. For Allan life has changed, not ended. His faith was in Christ, who said I am the resurrection and the life, he that believes in me will never die.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine Kay, Stellarton; children, Jonathan (Alexie) Kay, Lisa (Michael) Bennett, Jason Kay, all of Halifax; grandchildren, Hannah and Charlotte Kay, Kayden and Kinsly Bennett; sisters, Betty Fraser, Toronto, Ont.; Jean (Gerald) Lockhart, Scotch Hill; Alice (Len) Richards, Loch Broom; brothers, John (Marion) Kay, Trenton; Peter (Gail) Kay, Stellarton; sister-in-law, Tricia Clarke, Burlington, Ont.; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother, Michael Clarke.
In honour of Allan’s wishes a private celebration of his life will be held.
Arrangements are entrusted to P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
