Obituary of Delbert Noel Michaud
NEW GLASGOW - Delbert Noel Michaud, 81, New Glasgow, formerly of Island East River, passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 surrounded by family in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in Grand Falls, N.B., he was the son of the late Margaret Obeline (Cote’) MacLean and the late Epherime Joseph Michaud. He was employed as a miner, farmer and in later years, worked in forestry as a heavy machine operator. Delbert enjoyed gardening, horses, joking around and making people smile. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great- grandfather.
Surviving are his wife, Margaret “Mickey” (Coady); daughters, Marion (Leslie) Cameron, Churchville; Linda (Brian) Moser, Sunny Brae; Carol (Leonard) Brownell, Bawlf, Alta.; Sally (Richard) Cameron, Hopewell; son, Leslie (Cavell) Michaud, Trenton; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Mae Brow.
The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, June 11, in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held 11a.m. Tuesday, June 12 in Maranatha Bible Church, 490 Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow with Rev. Jerry Stearns officiating. Interment will follow in the Priestville Cemetery.
