NEW GLASGOW – J. Wayne Robson, 76, New Glasgow, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by his family. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Marion (Boutlier) Robson and step-father, Gilbert Robson. Prior to retirement in 2008, he owned and operated Wayne Robson Mobile Home Moving Limited for many years, working with Alma Homes and Campers. Wayne greatly enjoyed traveling to Blue Grass festivals through out the Maritimes, playing guitar and singing with many of his friends. Prior to ill health, Wayne held monthly jam sessions in his shop, which were attended by many of his friends. Wayne attended Bethel Baptist Church, Westville for many years. He endured a hard-fought battle with cancer and now enjoys peace and wholeness in his eternal home. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Margaret E. (Roddick) Robson; daughter, Yvonne “Bonnie” (Ken) Denslow, Morinville, Alta.; sons, J. Wayne “Sonny” (Lynn), Linacy; Darryl (Jennifer), Vancouver Island, B.C.; John (Trina), Halifax; grandchildren, Alan, Nicholas, Teanna, Kelsey, Nathanial, Tanner, Matt, Luke, Josée, Macy and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Jaylin, Connor and Jack; sister, Diane Gay, New Glasgow; brothers, Calvin and Brian, Ontario; sisters-in-law, Louise Robson, Trenton; Ellen (Jay) Noade, Fraser’s Mountain; June (John) Murphy, Thorburn; Terry (Art) MacLeod, Thorhild, Alta.; brothers-in-law, Earl (Mary) Roddick, Culls Harbour, Nfld.; Bill (Linda) Roddick, Loch Katrine; Doug (Susan) Roddick, Lorne; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Ronnie; grandparents, Esther (Atwater) and Alexander Boutilier. The family will receive visitors 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22nd in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23rd with Pastor Ryan King officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, New Glasgow.
