Obituary of R. Harriette Campbell

RIVERTON – Raymonde Harriette (Doudelet) Campbell, 86, Valley View Villa, Riverton, formerly of MacLellan’s Brook and Thorburn, passed away, Tuesday, January 20, 2015 in the Villa, surrounded by her family. Born in Thorburn, she was a daughter of the late John Alphonse and Eva Julia (Ladriere) Doudelet. Harriette had been employed with the former Goodman Company Ltd., New Glasgow for many years. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton. Harriette had been a member of the former St. Gregory’s CWL and had served as Catechist Coordinator for St. Gregory’s Parish for many years. She was a devote Catholic, who lived her faith through word and deed. Surviving are children, David (Lynne), New Ross; Paul (Ronalda), Loch Broom; Kevin (Maureen), Eastern Passage; Adele (Don), Pictou Landing; Eva, MacLellan’s Brook; Christopher (Debbie), Hopewell; grandchildren, Hannah, Natalie, Andrew, Nichole, Desire, Claudia, Cody, Kevin Jake, Nicholas, Mason, Dylan, Kelsey and Bryan; great-grandsons, Cameron and Ivan; sister, Catherine (Doudelet) Hughes, Cape Breton; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Milton Mason Campbell; sisters, Florence Vacheresse and Eugeine “Jenny” Casey; brother, Desire Doudelet. The family will receive visitors 6-8 p.m. Friday Jan 23 in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday Jan 24 in Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church, Stellarton with Father Peter MacDonald presiding. Interment will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Thorburn at a later date. Harriette’s children wish to thank Cousin Eva for her love and devotion to her Aunt Harriette. They also wish to thank the Valley View Villa staff for the exceptional care and support their mother received during her stay.
