Obituary of Clarence Edward Watters
RIVERTON – Clarence Edward Watters, 78, Riverton passed away, December 26, 2017, at his daughter’s home, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late John and Beatrice (Stewart) Watters. Clarence was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 34, New Glasgow, and a member of the Salvation Army Citadel, Westville. He was a school bus driver and caretaker for ten years with the Saskatoon Board of Education, and nine years with the school board in Pictou County.
Surviving are his wife Elda (Smith); daughters, Linda (Alan) Auld, MacPherson’s Mills; Carol Anne (Theodore) Greene, Coalburn; sons, Clarence (Ellen), Trenton , Anthony (Bonnie, Stellarton; grandchildren, Craig, Aurora, Ashley, Amanda, Alan, Alicia, Christopher, Kelsey, Josie; four great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth (Colin) McGarrigle, Black’s Harbour, N.B.; brothers, Roddy (Linda), Riverton; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, John and Harry, sister, Barb.
The family will receive visitors 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2017, in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Majors Wayne and Betty Ann Pike officiating.
