joe was truly a man of God and he was easy to talk to and was very understanding. he could get a message across or a point across without anyone getting upset with him. he was one of a kind and I personally think he brought our church closer together with each other. there is nothing he wouldn`t do to help someone and God came first in his life and by his living and compassion,he showed that. he will be sorrily missed and we will never forget him as well as a lot of people whose lives he touched. my condolenses to della and the rest of the family and may God keep you in his care and comfort you, especially knowing that he is in a great place and that someday you will see him again. I know what you are going through della, cause, just a year ago, tuesday; I lost my husband wayne. one thing though, God has helped me through all of it and I don`t know what I would have done without Him. take care! linda blair

Joe has gone home. I remember Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there sha ll be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. He served his Lord on earth and was an example to us all. I learned much from Joe about service when I lived in NG and now feel even more compelled to come "home". Our thoughts and praryers are with the immediate family and the extended family at First Baptist where Joe was an honored and beloved member.

I spent a lot of time at the Vanbuskirk's home growing up. He was always very good to us making sure we had toys to play with, and being very gracious when i flooded their kitchen. He will be greatly missed as all who knew him loved him. My thoughts are with the family.

Thank you Lord for Joe VanBuskirk - a friend, mentor, example - to myself and many others. Words will not convey the joy of the Lord that poured from his life into this world - that continues even now in effect on others, as we are grafted to the same vine.
