Obituary of Everette Donald Dobson
LINACY – Everette Donald “Cooper” Dobson, 67, passed away suddenly Monday, June 18, 2012 in the Halifax Infirmary, QEII, Halifax.
Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of Evelyn Grant (Greene) Dobson, Linacy and the late Everette Merville “Doc” Dobson. He was a heavy duty mechanic having worked for Germaine &Williams, Myers Bros. in Brampton, Ont. and Connors Transport, from where he retired due to poor health. Cooper enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors. He was a loving son, brother and uncle.
Besides his mother, Evelyn, he is survived by sisters, Betty (Wallace) Richard and Patsy (Bobby) Richard, Linacy; Judy (Wally) Sutherland, New Glasgow; brother, Billy (Cindy) Dobson, New Glasgow; half-sister Joyce (Fred) Canton, Truro; half-brother, Harry (Grace) Dobson, Truro; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father, Everette “Doc”; sisters, Evelyn Fariello; Alice and Sharon in infancy.
There will be no visitation or flowers by Cooper’s request. A public graveside service will be held 11a.m Friday, June 22nd in Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow with Rev. Richard Sand officiating. A reception will follow at Linacy Fire Hall.
