NEW GLASGOW – Elaine Vivian MacDonald, 68, New Glasgow, went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, September 14, 2017. Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Duncan and Edna (Sutherland) Cameron. Elaine was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Westville. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Elaine was employed at several stores, retiring from Sobey’s Westside after 10 years of service. Surviving are her daughters, Tanya (Tom) Rundle, Alma; Tara MacDonald (Darren MacLellan), New Glasgow; grandsons, Frankie and Devin; great-granddaughter, Caraira who was her pride and joy; brothers, Ellery (Mary) Cameron, New Glasgow; Harvey, Greenwood Street, Thorburn; sister. Heather (Ron) Sangster, Greenwood Street, Thorburn, numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by husband Earl; sister, Glenda; brother, Gordon; brother in-law, Marty. The family will receive visitors 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, September 17, in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 18 with Pastor Ryan King officiating. Private family interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made in Elaine’s memory to Bethel Baptist Church or to Canadian Celiac Association of Nova Scotia.
