Obituary of Marian Pearl Browning

NEW GLASGOW – Marian Pearl Browning, 77, New Glasgow, formerly of French River, passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow, surrounded by her family. Born in Telford, she was a daughter of the late Margaret (William) Urquhart. Prior to retirement in 1985, she was employed as a PCW with Valley View Villa for over 22 years. Marian enjoyed her weekly trips to the various flea markets and spending time talking to others attending the markets. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Surviving are daughters, Cheryl Browning, London, Ont.; Heather Marr (Andrew), Addington Forks Extension; Rick and Kevin, New Glasgow; Wendell (Cheryl), Auburn; brother, John (Lorraine) Urquhart, Truro; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Sterling Charles Browning; son, Robert Wayne Browning. In honour of Marian’s wishes a private service will be held with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Interment will be in French River Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations may be made in Marian’s memory to Canadian Cancer Society.
