MACLELLAN’S MOUNTAIN – David Alexander MacDonald, 68, MacLellan’s Mountain, passed away at home, Sunday, October 30, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Alex and Bertha (Kearley) MacDonald. He had been employed with Michelin for 29 years. David enjoyed the great outdoors, cutting wood, hunting and fishing. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth “Beth” (MacMillian) MacDonald; children Alex (Pam) MacDonald, New Maryland, N.B.; Melanie Roberts, MacLellan’s Mountain; David Michael (Lindsay) MacDonald, Calgary, Alta.; grandchildren, Julia and Christina MacDonald; Emily, Blake and Blair Roberts; brothers, Alan (Carol) MacDonald, New Glasgow; Harold (Sam) MacDonald, Woodbridge, Ont.; Robert “Bob” (Jean) MacDonald, Ontario; Dan MacDonald, New Glasgow. He was predeceased by sister, Joan Bowen. The family will receive visitors 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 3rd in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow from where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4th in the chapel with Rev. Dr. Glenn Matheson officiating. Family flowers only.
