Obituary of Albert Lewis Fraser

TRENTON – Albert Lewis “Lewie” Fraser, 82, Trenton, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at home surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Trenton, he was a son of the late Joseph Bert and Annie (Kenny) Fraser. As a teenager, Lewie worked delivering milk “hanging of the side” of the Gil and Dearborne delivery truck. Following he delivered dairy goods for Farmer’s and Scotsburn Dairy’s. Lewie became an accomplished salesman and was employed with Maritime Beverages for over 30 years. Besides residing in Trenton and Stormont, he and his family resided in Glencoe for 21 years, and during this time he was very active with the Glencoe hall.He enjoyed sitting on the deck of his cottage in Stormont, listening to the Hoedown on CJFX, spending time with family and friends. His children and grandchildren fondly remember boat rides in the “Sea Breeze” while they urged Lewie to “go faster papa, go faster!” He possessed a strong faith in his Lord and was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow. For Lewie, “Life has changed; not ended!” Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Mabel (Phalen); children, Lewis (Cathy) Fraser, Pictou Landing; Cindy (Tom) Babineau, Pictou; Rick (Bobbi) Fraser, Abercrombie; Billy (Margie) Fraser, Trenton; Doreen (Ross) Aikens, Trenton; Bruce (Charlene) Fraser, Linacy; Elaine (Randy) Farrell, Trenton; grandchildren, James, Jeffery, Ryan, Jillian, Justin, Kelly, Andrew, Roger, Robert, Robyn, Keefe and Erin; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Evan, Addy, Ethan B., Maya, Khloe, Ethan D., Jayden, Jack, Owen, Ariah, Hayden, George, Ryan, Carson, Gabe, Sierra and Isabel; siblings, Joseph “Buddy” (Pat) Fraser and Anne Theresa Romans, Trenton; Margie (Eldridge) MacKenzie, Plymouth; Mary (David) Urquhart, New Glasgow; Sharon Brown (Gerry), Westville; Bernadette “Bernie” (Wayne) Cook, and Brenda (Turk) Anderson, Trenton; brothers-in-law, Joseph Lewis, Riverton; Charles Brown, Stellarton; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by grandson, Jacob Vincent Farrell in infancy; great-granddaughter, Morgan Leil; great-grandson, Keegan Lucas; sisters, Mabel, in infancy and Marie Lewis; brother-in-law, Jim Romans. A private family gathering, and service will be held. If desired, donations may be made in Lewie’s memory to his family.
