Obituary of Lillian Margueritte Woolley
NEW GLASGOW - Lillian Margueritte “Lilly” Woolley, 88, New Glasgow and formerly of Telford passed away peacefully Monday, June 24, 2013 in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow she was a daughter of the late Sinclair and Maimie (Simpson) Browning. She was a member of the former French River Presbyterian Church, French River. Lilly enjoyed the outdoors and cooking. She was a loving, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Surviving are her son, Phillip “Phil” (Lynne) Browning, Telford; brother, Fred (Dorothy) Simpson, Linacy; granddaughter, Lori (Paul) Atta, Thorburn and their children, Devyn and Kelton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Jackson, Cassie Woolley , Edith MacLaren and brother, Gordon Browning.
There will be no visitation by Lilly’s request. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. in Telford cemetery with Rev. Jeff Lackie, officiating. Donations may be made in Lilly’s memory to the Pictou County S.P.C.A. (Click link to donate online)
