Obituary of Kateri Angelina Skoke
HALIFAX – Kateri Angelina Skoke, 39, Halifax, formerly of Stellarton, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of Heather Keddy and Pacelli Skoke. Kateri enjoyed spending time with her family and, her many nieces and nephews. Holiday celebrations were always a favorite for Kateri, she loved big family meals, getting to catch up with everyone, and the new baby for her to hold. She was often seen knitting or crocheting an item for the newest member of the family. From an early age, Kateri’s artistic talent was revealed in the many paintings and drawings displayed in her family’s homes. She was generous with her works of art, whether it be a painting, drawing, knitted or crocheted items, she enjoyed giving and seeing her art bring joy. Her distinctive smile, giggle, and sense of humor was infectious. Kindness and generosity were provided to anyone and everyone Kateri met, even if it meant she would go without. Her greatest life accomplishment was her daughter, Evangeline, who she loved with her whole heart and took great interest in all her life stages, from a baby through her teen years. Kateri will be dearly missed by all who loved her. She will be remembered for her insistence that “others should be accepted without judgement”. Her family are most grateful to God for her life and the precious gift He gave in Kateri.
